Miss Ida Mae caught Lester’s bass thumping and made it her own. She held his beat, and between those thumps, she poured out what she knew was true. Miss Ida Mae began to sing, and she didn’t give a dime ’bout wasting time on “no kinda’” rhyme. So she got right to business and started to chime.
